Mixon Orchard

Rows of fruit trees, a still pond, and nothing but fields to the horizon.

Our Waterbury homes sit on a working orchard in the rolling hills of Dixon County. Spring brings clouds of apple and cherry blossom. Summer evenings are long and quiet. Ponca State Park, the Missouri River and Sioux City's riverfront are all a short drive away.

Apple season at Mixon Orchard

By late summer the branches are heavy with red and green apples. We turn the harvest into our own Mixon Orchard apple butter and hand-dipped caramel apples, sold at local farmers markets.
